Pre heat the oven to 400 degrees.
Rinse the arctic char under cold water and pat it very dry with a paper towel.
Line a baking pan with aluminum foil and grease the top of the aluminum foil. For this, use oil, butter or cooking spray.
Place the arctic char in the pan. If you are using fillets with skin on, place them skin side down and make sure all the scales are removed. If you are using thin fillets fold the thin end under to try to get an even thickness.
Baste the fish with oil or melted butter. Season with salt, pepper and maybe a squeeze of lemon juice. Optional; Rosemary and garlic go great with arctic char. If you want to try this blend some with the oil that you use for basting the fish.
Bake the fish for 12-15 minutes until the fish starts to flake. Turn the oven to broil for 1-2 minutes to lightly brown the fillet. You shouldn’t need to turn the fish over.
